7 Tenets of Bonsulation

There is no practical or semantic reasoning to “Bonsulation”. Derived from my adopted stage name, which itself is devoid of literal meaning, I’ve never questioned the phrase’s linguistic implications or bothered developing a set definition. But in the same way we may experience psychic revelation through near death experience, hallucinogenic epiphany, or reading a good book, a sneaking impression as to what “Bonsulation” could be lurks in the back of my mind, like a forgotten errand or the memory of an ex-lover. Before this vision fades, I will distill the nature of “Bonsulation” in seven tenets. While one need not be spiritually inclined to infer the life altering benefits of “Bonsulation”, those with previous experience in tantric yoga or shamanic Quakerism may “get it” faster.

• 1. Bonsulation is the holistic acceptance of spontaneity, chance, and mystery as the guiding principles for shaping and experiencing reality.
• 2. To Bonsulate is to surrender the self to all extra-sensory cosmic information and phenomenon occurring in “all-time”.
• 3. Godhead is the ontological matrix from which Bonsulation is dispersed into our quasi-material reality. One need not accept the existence of God, but awareness of the cosmic undercurrents which may or may not be a manifestation of God will make for better Bonsulation.
• 4. Sound is the primary mode by which Bonsulation manifests within the physical world. By extension, music is the harmonic and rhythmic organization of Bonce-waves, which flow continuously into our physical reality, much as water flows through an aqueduct or kitchen faucet, in tandem with the cosmic undercurrent.
• 5. Songs must be divorced of authorship or aesthetic contextualization. All sound is musical sound. All musical sound is subject to temporal impermanence and may never be truly claimed by one set individual or conglomerate set of authors. Music is borrowed, never owned.
• 6. One need look past the container by which sonic expression and incident are documented. Time is the ultimate illusion. Abandon all literal and linear logic. What was said tomorrow won’t happen today and yesterday will always be.
• 7. Bonsulation may induce the dissolution of self into “all-time”, amplifying sensations of compassion and the abhorrence of cynicism or impossibility. Nothing ever was, will, nor could be, so become everything.
